I was a fan of Pokemon Anime TV Series when it was first aired in late 90s, I thought the idea of creating different type of Pocket Monsters with reference to real animals or plants were highly imaginative and creative.
How surprising it was when this year, Pokemon Go game took the world by surprise!
Was playing it too but not to the extent of going after it to different locations.
Looked up whether there is a Pokemon Official Shop or Center in Kyoto and turned out, there is..
It is located inside Takashimaya Shopping Center at Gion area, on 5th floor; just go to Children Section and you will see the shop.
It certainly a place to get soft toy version for most of your favourite Pokemon, heavily featured Pikachu in different costumes. They even have Monthly/Seasonal Pikachu styled as the season. December one is wearing Parka, it comes in a pair! There are certain Pikachu in costumes that only being sold in Japan.
I even witnessed a Japanese bought a Human-Size Pikachu!! Yes, you heard me right…it was so huge!
The Center also held few hourly quiz for you to play/compete in order to win some of the soft toys, a good activity for young children and parent as you must play as a couple…
